《能源与环境》杂志以能源和环境的关系为主线,内容可分为两部分。前一部分主要介绍能源的分类、能源和社会经济发展的关系,煤炭、石油、天然气和水能资源等传统能源的资源量、生产和消费状况。

    《能源与环境》杂志介绍了核能、太阳能、地热能、风能、海洋能、潮汐能、生物质能、氢能和天然气水合物等新能源的资源状况和开发利用技术,进而重点讨论能量转换和储存的基本原理、能量系统分析方法和工业过程节能的途径与方法;后一部分则重点围绕能源转换和利用过程产生的环境污染治理问题展开讨论,详细介绍了燃烧污染防治技术和大气污染控制技术。

    《能源与环境》(双月刊)创刊于1982年,由福建省能源研究会;福建省资源利用协会;福建省煤炭学会主办。宣传国家有关节能与环保方针政策、法律、法规,报道能源和环保工程开发和建设;介绍节能与环保的新技术、新设备、新材料以及能源与环境工程科学管理与改革等动态。深入贯彻《节能法》动员全社会参与节能减排,增强低碳意识,建设资源节约型,环境友好型社会。
